MRI Advice for GP’s, Consultants,
Physiotherapists and Osteopaths
Patients with joint problems, sports injuries and patients
referred by a solicitor for accident related whiplash injuries
will like the open and quiet scanning procedure. Reports are
available very rapidly, usually after 24 hours.
Refering your patients for MRI examinations
We welcome referrals from GP’s, Consultants, Physiotherapists
and Osteopaths. If a patient prefers to come to us directly
we recommend he should consult a therapist with the scan result.
Please contact us on 01228 635555 if you would like to discuss
the patient's investigation with a radiographer or radiologist.
Mobile magnetic resonance imaging may not be appropriate or
feasible for your patient and if so we are happy to discuss
alternative methods of investigation. As with all imaging
investigations, the more information that we have prior to
the scan the better, as this allows us to tailor the examination
precisely to the patient's requirements.
We are always available to discuss the results of a patient's
scan; please let us have a contact phone number and best contact
time if you would like a radiologist to phone you to discuss
the results.
Mobile Diagnostics is recognized by all major insurers.

How to Request a Scan
There are several ways in which an MR scan can be requested,
as follows;
1. By completion of this electronic
form
2. By phone to 01228 635555. During working
hours a scan appointment can usually be given immediately,
at the most convenient time and place for the patient.
Reports
The report will be sent to the referrer by first class post,
with a CD containing the images and reading software. Please
let us know if you would also like a report sent via e-mail.
Where a rapid report is needed, we can arrange to provide
the report on the working day following the scan.
